PREP NEWS
Last Tuesday, our PREP children in grades two through six received the unique graces of the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation during our Tuesday evening classes. This special evening provided our children with the opportunity to not only reflect on their Lenten journey but to prepare for the Easter Season by receiving the Sacrament of Penance.
On March 27th, the PREP children will gather in church for the Stations of the Cross. All parishioners are invited to join us as our children follow in the footsteps of Jesus. This devotion will begin at 6:50PM in church.

The boys and girls of our Parish Religious Education Program will retell the beautiful story of the Nativity in tableau with carols.
Please consider if God is calling you to serve him as a Catechist (teacher). Would you like to share the Gospel message and the Traditions of the Catholic Church with the children of our Parish? If so, we could use your time and talents with the Religious Education Program. Two of our devoted catechists have had to ‘retire’ due to changes in schedules. We are looking for Catechists who would spend approximately 90 minutes a week helping our young people learn about their Catholic Faith in Levels/Grades 1 and 2. If you are interested in participating in this important ministry, please contact Mrs. Andy Dougherty, in the Religious Education Office, 215-836-1994.
A Mass for PREP Catechists across the Archdiocese is being offered today, January 8th at the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul. This Mass is being offered in recognition of the service and the essential role catechesis has in the life of the Church. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Catechists promote the knowledge and formation of the parish children in the beliefs of the Catholic Faith. Archbishop Charles Chaput will preside. We extend congratulations to Nora Boles and David Kelly who will receive the Pius X Award for ten years of service to St. Genevieve PREP at this Liturgy.

This is a program of prayer, scripture readings, songs, and reflection for children in kindergarten through 3rd grade. The children finish in time to rejoin their family at the Prayer of the Faithful.
WE HAVE AN URGENT NEED FOR FACILITATORS! It is a once a month commitment, during the 10:15 Mass. There is a leader’s guide which takes you step by step through each lesson. There are experienced facilitators who are willing to work with you to help you get started or to answer any questions. Facilitators must comply with the Safe Environment requirements of the Archdiocese. If you are interested please contact Mrs. Andy Dougherty at 215-836-1994.
