Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Matz, PastorOn June 18th, St. Genevieve Parish welcomes our new pastor, Msgr. Michael Matz. He has spent the last 11 years at Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, PA where his position was that of President. He is very highly regarded by his fellow priests throughout the Archdiocese and is eager to begin as our pastor. He looks forward to getting to know everyone here at St. Genevieve Parish and hopes to be a worthy Shepherd. Please take a moment to introduce yourself to Msgr. Matz as he works toward becoming familiar with his flock. He asks that we all keep him in our prayers as he continues his priestly ministry in Flourtown. He is the Director of Parish Services and is responsible for coordinating Adult Faith Formation, Parish Evangelization and Social Services, RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults), the Blood Drive and Aid for Friends. |

In addition to all administrative duties in the Parish, Lori is the Editor of the Parish Bulletin and participates in the Liturgy and Hospitality Committees. |

Dr. Edward D. (Ted) Latham, Music Director
Dr. Edward D. (Ted) Latham received his Ph.D. in music theory from Yale University in 2000, and is currently Assistant Professor of Music Studies at Temple University’s
Esther Boyer College of Music and Dance, where he was the recipient of the 2007 Teaching Academy Award for excellence in teaching. His research focuses on the
interdisciplinary analysis of texted and danced works, and his online and print publications include reviews, articles and chapters on the music of Bach, Debussy,
Britten, Gershwin and Schoenberg. His recent regional, national and international conference papers have also addressed the intersection of musical and dramatic structure
in works by Schubert, Korngold and Weill. His book on twentieth-century American opera is forthcoming in December 2008 from the University of North Texas Press. He has been
the music director at St. Genevieve's parish since 2002, and previously served as the music director of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Newman Center at the University of
Minnesota-Twin Cities, and St. Thomas More Catholic Chapel and Center at Yale University in New Haven, CT. |
